Rose quartz is a pink variety of quartz. The blush can be soft or a little deeper, and the inside of the stone is often cloudy. That cloudiness is typical. A heart cut from it will not look like a factory-matched plastic heart.
The pink is in the stone. It is not paint, and it is not the same pink on every piece. Some hearts look almost pale, others a little warmer. A milky patch inside the heart is part of how rose quartz forms. We polish the surface so it is smooth against fur, and we leave the colour alone.

Why rose quartz for pets
Rose quartz is associated with gentle affection. People choose it to mark a bond they already have, including with a dog who is new to the house. The stone does not create that bond, and it is not a treatment.
